The cotton spinning wastes are of various types which are mostly reused for production of non wovens. Among them, the last trash finds no end use and is discarded in the landfill. The paper elaborates on the techniques and results obtained during the conversion of the selected cotton waste into a bio-mass briquette. The fuel properties and burning characteristics support the effectiveness of this to be used both in domestic and industries as a replacement of wood as a burning material.
