TO STUDY GENDER DIFFERENCES IN PARENT - CHILD RELATIONSHIP IN LATE CHILDHOOD

ABSTRACT

 

The present study was conducted to find out parent-child relationship among late childhood. For the current study, the scale developed by W. Furman was used. The scale comprises of two sections namely-child version and parent version. A sample of 100 children and their parents were taken from Meerut city, India for the study. The sample was comprised of 50 boys and 50 girls. Frequency, Percentage and correlation were used for statistical analysis. The results of the study indicates the positive relationship between parent, and their children. Though the inferences drawn from the study shows the positive parent - child relationship but it is not a high correlation.
