COMPARE THE ACADEMIC ANXIETY IN PRIVATE SCHOOL AND GOVERNMENT SCHOOL

ABSTRACT

 

The present study was conducted to compare academic anxiety in private schools and government schools. For the current study, the Academic Anxiety scale for Children AASC (Age 13 to 16 years) developed by A. K. Singh and A. Sengupta was used. The questionnaires has 20 items of the questions showed the academic anxiety in students. A total of five government and five private schools were taken from different areas of Merrut city, India for the study. The distribution of questionnaires and observation was taking place during year 2012-2013. The sample was comprised of 100 private school students and 100 government school students. Frequency, percentage and correlation were used for statistical analysis. The result of the present study has no significant difference in academic anxiety level of the student studying in government schools and private schools.
