ABSTRACT

Renewable energy sector in India had set a target of 20,000 MWsolar power capacity by 2022. Tariffs for solar power have been rapidly fallen from Rs.17.00 per unit in 2011 to Rs.4.34 per unit in 2016. This has been achieved due to reduction in project risks by providing facilities by Government.Continuous changes in technology and innovations brought, the renewable energy resolution wind energy, Bio-energy and other renewable energy sources to achieve a target in MW, but in India solar power is moreprominent and reliable energy source as compared to other renewable energy sources. This paper focuses more to attaint goals on solar energy and its resolution. From two decades and the issues and challenges regarding solar energy in India, smartgrids, smart metering and smaller energy management are new technology aspects leads to Solar energy revolution.
